Hi, I recently got a "fastfermenter" system because I'm tired of using buckets. Anyway no matter how much thread tape I use I cant stop a leak around the thermowell.

Would it be ok to use a food safe silicon around that well to stop this leak? Thoughts?

You didn't cross-thread the thermowell? In general, NPT threads will seal. I don't see any real problem using food-safe silicone but I don't imagine it will seal, either.

Is the leak at the thread or where t-well is attached to Fermenter? Leak at t-well=return to mgt. Leak at npt = cross thread. You're on your own to fix it.
Check out proper size Tap & handle to repair thread. Good luck.
