    hi, I just singed up and exploring the site. So far I think its great. I used the water calculator and found that my water is way off for the style of beer I' m making. I will have to brew up a batch to see if the adjustment helped , can't wait.

    Welcome to the site.

    I find that it is easer to adjust the beer style to the water then the water to the beer style.

    that's a vary true statement, but I'm not giving up yet. the hard part of all the experimentation is waiting 4 to 6 weeks to find out if it worked.

    Yes, but then you get to drink then. :)
    I have always found water chemistry wheather for brewing or something else, to be preverse. I have just gone down to the store and bough two 5 gallon bottles at times and added a few salts or what ever, as needed. I found that it was hard to taste much difference, but then I made a lot of other minor errors which I am sure confused things.
