I am working on a spreadsheet that requires importing data derived from the EXPORT TEXT tool from the Recipe Editor.
The application is designed to display all of your recipes and, after inputting your Inventory, will display all the recipes you can make with what you have got in the cupboard.
The problem I have is the system's handling of HTML characters from the normal view and being translated in the TEXT OUTPUT file. At the moment I am handling the conversion manually but it would be nice if the system exported the text as normal ASCII characters rather than UNI Code character text.
My example is below
Recipe View
Text Export Dialog box
Resultant Text File text:
------------------------------------------------
HOME BREW RECIPE:
Title: Santa's Grog <<<<< UNI CODE instead of ASCII
Author: Alan Harper
Brew Method: All Grain
Style Name: Belgian Dark Strong Ale
----------------------------------------------------
