Long, long time homebrewer. Started in 1989 doing extracts / partials. My first brewing text was Cat's Meow Version 1 (I'm an old guy). There really was not internet as we now know it. Compuserve and Usenet (using Trumpet reader if anyone remembers back that far) were my friends. Got married, had kids. Took a 10 year hiatus. Got back into the hobby a few years back when I still thought the Papazian bucket in a bucket was in-vogue. I now brew on a single tier kit, using keggles, a couple of chuggers, NG for HLT & BK and a home-rolled RIMS tube to control mash temps. Recent project (nearly done!) was motorization of my monster mill 2. I've gotten good at hiding receipts from SWMBO. Looking to convert to electric soon-ish.

Wow! I had to chuckle re: Usenet, boy that brings back memories. My kids don't believe me but I used the internet before the World Wide Web existed!

I look forward to learning from you, us old guys have to stick together.
