Here's a thought ... I'm only extract now, so not sure what this does for the more advanced brewers, but I've been entering the actual name of the LME or DME that I'm using with the specified PPG and Lovibond for that actual malt. Would be awesome is there was a way to save such "custom" in your profile for use in future recipes....
Re: Save Custom Ingredients ........ and then... When a user saves a custom fermentable, hop, etc., the user could have the option to share that to a database so that other users could access those custom ingredients???
Good news, we recently deployed exactly what you are talking about, minus the sharing part. See this thread: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=182 For extracts, leave the mashed checkbox empty. As for sharing the list with each other, that is an option down the road when we get to group brewing. Our goal is to keep the grain drop down as short as possible so it doesn't get cluttered.
