A basic 'beep' sound will go out in the next release when a brew timer goes off. It will work in any browser that supports the HTML5 Audio tag, which is pretty much any version of Firefox, any version of Chrome, IE 9 and IE10, and Safari 4+. Except, for Safari on Windows you have to have QuickTime installed too.

A beep sound now plays when a timer goes off.
iPad does not play the sound, because it is not initiated from a user triggered event
.... So, we need to add something to make it work on iPad, we'll add that to the list and see if we can fix it.

I would love to have an alarm that continues more than just 1 beep. I've now used the app on several recipes - and all the features of setting various alarms is AWESOME! I just wish I could hear the darn thing. Unless you are literally watching the timer, or are working in a place of complete silence - it is near impossible to catch the alarm. At least in my experience thus far.
