I turned up a new bottle opener this weekend.

The nail head was ground down to reduce the chance of snagging in my pocket.

The magnet works great reducing the need to bend over to pick up an errant cap.

Cool, nice skills on the lathe. Is that a magnet in there to catch the cap?

Yes it is. And it works great. I just finished the beer in the photo (Vienna Lager) and have opened another, flawlessly.

As far as lathe skills go that is nothing. Here is what I made for Christmas presents a few years ago.
