Is there a way to delete a forum post is you are the originator? I went to the edit function but did not see this feature.

Also, is there a way to include a partial quote from another post in your response rather than the entire original post? I tried to highlight part of a quote and a “reply” icon appears, but it copies and displays in a raw form as if you are posting this text.

Can't delete posts, unfortunately. You can edit them to say "double post" if you'd like.

You can also edit the quote. You can remove anything you want as long as the QUOTE]...[/QUOTE remains intact. There should be a start bracket [ and end bracket ] there but then it turns it into a quote lol good code bot! :D

I can delete any post if needed

I remember we used to be able to delete posts.
I really can't see why it's not part of the forum functions.
Sometimes we post things and realise afterwards that that post wasn't needed or out of place then can't remove it.

Even if just limited (as with editing) for just several minutes.

If you highlight some text, a separate reply button appears. Click that instead of the main reply button.

Are you doing this on a computer with a mouse or a smart phone or tablet and touching it with your finger? Just trying to think of possible explanations for the different behavior. Also try clicking around the edges of the reply button. I frequently have that problem with the bell icon on the top of the page. If I click the center of the bell, nothing happens. But if I click the right edge, I get a list of posts.

I highlighted and clicked the “reply” button below the text. It just disappeared.
Hmmm. I have to click twice. The first time makes the highlighting disappear, the second one actually creates the new reply message.

Sorry for the second post. Forgot to mention I’m using an iPad.
