Looked to see if this was requested before and did not find. How about a custom/editable brewlog event type? I know there is an 'other' choice, but that doesn't get it for me. E.g., what about dry hop begun and DH complete events? Or fermentation temp change event (I often will raise the temp of my ferment chamber to get yeast to finish)? BF does not have to think of all the possible event types if the software just had an editable field.

Thanks!

That would be used by me.

Another "Other" event - I'm doing a kettle sour and have been measuring pH every six hours or so and it would be nice to be able to log that on the brew log.

I'm replying to an old post here, since I don't see any newer posts on customizing brew log events (tho some specific brew log events like yeast pitch, etc). For reporting and analysis outside of Brewer's Friend via API, I'd like to be able to have some other event types that I can tailor to my needs (for example, brews where I added oxygen, keg start and finish dates). I know I can use "Other", but I'm hoping not to have add another layer of logic (i.e. if event type = Other and comment text starts with "Added Oxygen"). Having an additional list of event types (similar to the list of Brand settings), would be super helpful. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll see what we can do.
