Cold break settling

When I racked from the boil pot through the counterflow chiller to the fermenter, the cold break was almost half the height of the batch. After I pitched yeast and swirled it, it took about 20 minutes to look like the first picture. This morning, I took the second picture. I just find it amazing that cold break can take up so much room at first, and then fairly quickly settle. Carry on.

Yesterday my wife noticed, for her first time, the yeast shooting around. Today, that same batch is a muddy mess!
