Can I drill through the side?

Okay laughing boy....
I got lucky, when I went to install the taps I had a hot flash thinking that I drilled the holes too high. The clearance between the top of the tap handles and the bottom of the freezer door was... well it wasn't much...
Gotta get Lucky every now and again aye Craig;);)

Aaah, just yanking ya. Good thing it wasn't 2" higher.

Do we think there are any things that might be bad to drill through in a fridge door? I mean, wouldn't there have to be some wires or something at the hinges?

Depends on the fridge!
Most do not have any wiring, but if you have temperature controls, water/ice dispensers, and lights in the door(s), then proceed with caution!
