Using lessons-learned from upgrading to a 10-gal mash tun and a 9-gallon kettle, brewing again this weekend. Will have the propane burner assembled and fired - no more three hour boils on the stovetop! And will brew on the back porch - no running water in the basement but hey, brewing in the snow should be a proud Colorado tradition, right? And I have the right air stone for the aquarium pump - no more shaking the fermenter! This weekend is Altbier Norddeutsche Art. Wish me luck.

Sounds awesome! Enjoy and let's hope for clear weather. I plan to brew my Oktoberfest this weekend too! Need to get the starter going tomorrow.

Weather forecast is sunny and around 30°. That means the burner will be unattended most of the time out there on the back porch! But vacation is coming around soon and I want to get this beer mostly done by then. More learning coming, I sense....
