Hey All, Looking for some feedback on my grain bill on a black barleywine. I made a black IPA a little while ago so I somewhat based the dark grains on the ones I used then. Any help would be appreciated. Probably going to go with some American hops on this one like Galena, Chinook, Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, etc... D
Well it seriously needs some hops! Here's what I did for my '08 barley wine: 2oz Magnum, 90 minutes 1oz Amarillo, 60 minutes 1oz Amarillo, 10 minutes 2oz Centennial, 10 minutes 1oz Goldings, Dry hop in secondary
Your Barleywine recipe isn't public. No biggy, but I brewed a dark barleywine recently - I was kind of curious about your grist.
Ah yeah I was editing it so I made it not public. I actually went and talked to the guys at my local homebrew store and they steered me in a direction that they thought would be pretty good. I basically just added in some dark crystal and some carafa III but I am going to make it public again...
