BF Fantasy football league?

I have only ever used the NFL platform, open to whatever. I like the sound of 8 teams, there would actually be decent options available on waivers! I was pretty vocal about not expanding from 10-12 teams in my league. Fell on deaf ears...
Would you be thinking about having defensive players?
 
If we have 8 teams I would suggest the following for the starting roster:
1 QB
2 RBs
3 WRs
1 TE
1 Flex
1 Def
1 K

There's too many available players with a standard format and only 8 teams, so the additional WR helps balance it out

I thought you meant only fielding 1 RB and 3 WRs. Not sure I care for the 10 players vs 9. Seems like just running up pts. Now do you want the same total roster with a shorter bench? I've played 8 team leagues before not a problem especially with a fun league everyone can get good players. The problem is with the extended roster is people tie up players and keep them benched and never play them. That's a strategy in a money league but in a fun league I just enjoy the best players on the field. JMO I'm in either way

I pity the fool that plays FF for money, a fools errand if ever there was one:p

I could maybe play if it's not that serious. It's been nearly a decade since I last played and I quit because it was taking up way too much of my time and focus. Also I really haven't followed the NFL that closely since I stopped. Do miss it sometimes though
 
Sunfire seems like she has her heart set on wanting to do a fantasy league. Steve, if it is your thing, you ought to jump in.
I will watch some of a Bucs game once in a while, but I'm not all that into it anymore. I have a hard enough time keeping up a house, and yard, and the chores associated with it by myself.
 
We could have a $20 league fee to split up at the end of the season, say $20 to whomever finishes first in the regulare season, $100 to the champ,and $30 to the runner up. Just thinking out loud. We could all email our entry fee to Annabrit to distribute at the end.
Thoughts?
I guess the only trick there would be in what currency, USD makes the most sense...
 
Well we don't have a league yet so let's see. Probably a fun league would be easier to sign managers

Gimme a minute it's only been a week lol so far we've got me, @Josh Hughes @Craigerrr @Brew Cat @Hawkbox which gives us 5. @SabreSteve and @The Brew Mentor gets us to 7. @BarbarianBrewer what do you think? Wanna make us a whole league at 8?

I think more people will play if it's free, but it's hard to keep people interested all season without anything at stake. Maybe we should have a punishment for last place, like an embarrassing profile picture image for a month or something.
