Just wanted to let all of you know that there is a (free) online course being given by the University of Leuven (Belgium): Beer: The science of brewing. I am enrolled :)
It has started, but as it is online, that shouldn't be a problem. They are only on module 2.
Anyway, check it out, here is the link: https://www.edx.org/course/beer-the-science-of-brewing

That looks neat but I do not have the mental headspace right now for it, hopefully they run it again in the new year and I can attend it.

Why I am scared of 4-6 hours per week for 3 months? I should be all over this.

I would just give it a try James, you can always opt out.
And you can do things at your own pace, access to the material for the non-paying lot (me incl) is till end of January. I figure I'll at least learn something ;)

Well, registered. I figured that I can spend time on that instead of other stuff in the run up to Christmas, then concentrate on it over the festive period.
