Anyone ever racked a batch off the yeast and other matter and pour another right on top to ferment? This seems not a good idea and I have not done it but worth finding out about it.

I’m doing it tomorrow. Love the super short lag time and healthy fermentation.

Many times. The only I don’t love the results is when I did a dunkel then transferred a Pilsner on top of the slurry. I would recommend either doing similar beers or going from a more simple less bold beer to something less so. For instance doing a blonde ale then an ipa.
