Can I use and Argon/C02 (75%/25%) to purge my bottles before bottling?

    Is argon a health risk?

Q1: Yes, seems pretty expensive when CO2 will do.
    Q2: No, it's a noble gas.

Must. It would never occur to me to use argon in a beer.

I saw that mix at my local Tractor Supply Company. Made me wonder for a second. Only a second.

The reason is because I have a mig welder and a 80lb bottle of argon/co2 already, I don't have just co2 at the moment. I have two batches that are ready to bottle and would like to experiment with purging bottles. Will use co2 once I get it sorted out. Was worried that maybe bottles would not carb up if argon was in there.

I doubt that argon would affect carbonation.
