Equipment Profile lets us set our altitude and calculates resulting hops utilization factor. But in the recipe builder, I still need to insert adjusted utilization factor for every hop in the recipe. It would be nice to have this utilization factor automatically set as default in every recipe that uses the Equipment Profile ! While being there, the resulting boiling temperature could also be automatically set also, but it is less important as it has no impact on the calculations.
Thanks !

It is in your default- where do you see this not happening?

Wow ! Fast response !
As you will see in the attached screenshots, the altitude is defined in my Equipment profile (at bottom) with hop utilization scaling. And when I create a new recipe, based in this Equipment profile, hops utilization scaling and boiling temperature don't get the adjustment.
Thanks !

I don't see any additions for hops, so can't see the scale that uses the utilization. Can you add hops to the recipe so we can see the utilization calculation?

Right, the assumption was that no scaling values appears anywhere at any time. Here is another screenshot with some malt and hops added.
BTW, I also tried to build a recipe without the altitude set in the equipment profile to see if maybe scaling was indeed done behind the scene without values being set in the GUI, but the resulting IBUs were exactly the same with or without altitude set in the equipment profile.
Thanks !

Do you have a screenshot of the values without the altitude setting? I need to be able to compare them to send over to the developer.
At 314 ft, the drop in IBUs is going to be fairly negligible but a tiny bit lower perhaps.

Here it is same recipe without the altitude

Here it is same recipe without the altitude

I looked at the recipe, and it seems like it's pulling a 1 from your equipment settings:

I'm not sure where the one came from since you have 96% (.960) in your equipment profile. Did you maybe recently add your altitude so it won't affect older recipes?

You are right. I had never seen this option and Altitude does indeed make a difference. I was all mingled up. So I have been scaling down all my recipes by 8% instead of 4 ... Thanks for setting that straight for me !
