I’ll get Sophie to draw a name later. I wanted to share the status of the jar. Only 4 names left in the jar. @BarbarianBrewer @Ward Chillington @Donoroto @Craigerrr

If I have mistakenly left a name out of the jar let me know. I think this is a pretty good final 4 :)

2027 we’ll made everyone back in.

Sound good?

I’ve been bounced.

Probably for the best.
:D

Adding. This is why I asked. I think there are others missing.

I bet i pulled a second name as a back up and forgot to put it back in.

I didn't remember doing one but I checked and it was 2021. I don't know how many names are in the roster but has it taken 5 years to go through everyone? Just curious. I'm not jockeying to be included, necessarily. :)

It's only 4 per year, so yeah, still sitting on the sidelines myself

I was actually thinking about that this morning that we only have five names left for 2026. So maybe at some point we’ll draw an extra that way we’re starting fresh next year. I’ll have Sophie draw her name tomorrow. I have a ball game tonight and she’s gone at a birthday party.

We could stat doing a draw every 2 months moving forward, we would get 6 a year instead of 4.

That option wouldn't work for me. Since I can't brew as often as I'd like, I have to skip some quarterly brews simply because I also have my favorites to brew as well. If we went to 6 group brews per year there would be even more I couldn't get to. Which would be sad because I really like brewing the quarterly beers. But that's just my 2¢.

I think we should give everyone left a turn before refilling the can with names. It might take longer to get us to a reset, but everyone deserves a chance to post their chosen recipe, if they want to. It was a valuable experience posting my recipe and getting feedback, but also seeing the tweaks that people made to it.

We have good patience, right?? we're homebrewers :D

I agree, the quarterly format is best, I was just thinking out loud

If we are looking to go through the list faster next time, maybe pick 2 Brewers/beers per quarter?

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of members of the "Community" brewing the same beer at the same time and comparing notes? Yeah, you could have 2 different choices that might lead to more participation overall but then there'd be competing threads of conversation that could get confusing and could diffuse the interest/participation regarding any one recipe.
