Oxebar carbonation cap.

I know they make the soda top caps but why would they not have a single carb cap for the oxebar. Pressure carbed beer last a lot longer. I don't want to spend 21$ for 4 different tri Caps .
Can someone please help me with whats needed to use one carbing assy and still have a decent beer. Thanks Patrick.

Those don't fit the oxebar keg. Pco38 is oxebar. These only work on soda bottles

If all you are wanting to do is hold beer under pressure in a vessel. You may be better off just using empty 2 litter soda bottles. They are cheaper than the oxebar kegs, and the cheap carb caps will work on them. I use the 4L and 8L oxebar kegs to transport and serve out of with a gas source, but have the carb caps on 2L soda bottles if I want to transport and don’t plan to dispense with gas. I don’t know a carb cap with the fit the oxebar kegs directly without the tapping head.

I do the same.
And use the 1 or 2 ltr soda bottles for overflow as well.
I only have the 8 ltr oxebar, sometimes more than 8 ltr beer, and thats where the soda bottles come in handy

Any harm in using the same dispensing cap for all of them? Filling with the cap and swapping back and forth. Will the beer stay fresh any longer? This way I can dispense under pressure. Not sure if this would work since you obviously loose the pressure when removing the dispenser. I'll definitely get the soda Caps too. Thanks. Will these work on growlers?

The soda caps work on anything with that size thread.
So take the screw top of a coke bottle (or similar) and see if it fits a growler.
I don't think it will, but it's easy to check.
Here 330 ml, 500 ml, 1, 1.5 & 2 litre pet bottles all have the same size top/lid

So far, I haven't found anything that fits the oxebar size top, except for the lids they come with

I guess I misread your post. No there is NO single ball lock post that has the PCO 38 thread (at least to my knowledge). I have been looking for an adapter or even a 3D printable model that does that. No luck yet.

just remember that plastic soda bottles are O2 permeable. long term storage(months) will end up with oxidized/flat beer.

also naturally carbonated beer tends to have better shelf-life qualities then force carbed beers. big boys like sierra nevada regularly use bottle conditioning to carb. also bottle conditioned beers will generally have lower O2 pickup due to the yeast consuming any o2 available. most commercial breweries use force carb since it only takes a couple hours vs days. It also requires very fancy lab and dosing gear todo what sierra does.

I would only recommend soda bottles for short term shortage. If you are packaging into oxbar kegs for longer term shortage, and don’t want to use the taping head. Then I would bottle condition in the kegs with the enclosed cap, but once you open you will need to consume rather quickly. In my opinion, these kegs are best used when using gas to dispense from. They are cheap and portable but are too big to always use as a single serving size.
