What hops are good for Stouts. I have heard that not a lot of hops is recommended? But others are saying a few are good. What do you say?

I went to a brew I did last week and didn't change anything but where I put my beer (in basement). It changed the IBU from 47.50 to 132.48!!

How's come the (addition) of Cost has messed up my IBU? Is there something I have to do to straighten it out. For ex: COST (Which I don't use) caused my IBU to me 149.054? Ive tried out several.

I started some IPA the other day and cooled the wort overnight...about 18 hrs. Put the lid on, was careful to sterilize... I used online suggestions. Please comment + or -. Is this a way to go? Thanks!

Hello Everyone! I've been a member since abt 2 months ago. Still have a lot to learn. I started out about 4 years ago w/ extract and the last six months I've started partial brewing. What a thrill! Still at 2-2 1/2 gallon but ready for 5.

Anyone have experience cooling overnight. Putting wort in a cube and then "sleeping on it." Like to have your opinion... Pros and cons.
