    Boil time

Ya I can probably manipulate the system to give me what I want out of it, but should I have too? Is it unreasonable to want to do a long boil? I boil off 1.2 gallon an hour. And this will be a 6 gallon batch. And I want to boil off that much for a 15% beer...or at least that's what I'm...

    Boil time

It might work in that scenario but I actually want to boil off over 6 gallons(so I don't want to adjust my boil off), and maybe that is what is not allowing me to do it.

    Boil time

I am trying to enter a high boil time, 330 min actually, and the system won't let me? It will allow the time to go in and allow me to recalculate the water needed but it won't actually save any of that.

    Refractometer for FG

I stopped using a hydrometer years ago now. When I switched to a refractometer I compared it to my hydrometer for many many brews and found it to always be the same. So now its easy, just a dropper full to test is all that is needed.

    Double-mash: Would this work?

I have done this on a big beer, but don't remember all the stats of the beer. It does work....but the second mash you do is far less efficient than the first, from what I've experienced. It is lower because you already have a wort that is quite saturated at that point in time. I personally...

Brew session log entry gravity targets.

I looked though the forum but didn't see it. Thank you, and thank you for continuing to improve.

ways to lower FG on a lager / pilsner. first attempt came out too sweet

What temperature/temperatures did you it ferment at? And I think you are on the right track with the 2L starter. Lagers need a large starter of health yeast to assure you get a clean fermentation, to help reduce off flavors and to get the attenuation you need/want. For a 5 gallon batch 2L...

Brew session log entry gravity targets.

When entering a log entry for either pre-boil or boil complete it tells you the targeted volume, but why not the targeted gravity? This is something I would find useful as I'm always looking back at my recipe to compare. A couple screenshots to explain. Thank you

    Mash pH

That would make sense if that information somehow got pushed out with the last update, because even a recipe I didn't change shows a different mash pH than it did a week ago. Thank you for clarifying that and looking into it.

    Mash pH

Here is a link to the original recipe I copied over and made some changes to it......the only thing I did to this recipe, since last weekend, was make it shareable. Last weekend I started to brew this and the pH was fine. You won't see a link to mash chemistry on this one because it is based...

    Mash pH

My mas pH in the recipe is not the same that it was a week ago, it is also not the same as what the mash chemistry page is showing. Any ideas?

    Fermentation Chart

I logged temperatures roughly twice a day during my last fermentation under other, these aren't showing up under the fermentation chart? Is there a way to make them show up?

My Brew log default is quarts, any way to change that to gallons. I've had no luck trying to find it in settings.

Might still need some work but liking the changes.

Far from it. But I did honestly try every software I could get my hands on and none of them suited my need near like this one has. People are scared of change, and growing pains....none of which are fun but usually in the long run worth it.

Might still need some work but liking the changes.

I just wanted to say that I am enjoying the changes and I know they are working hard to get things right. I have only been a paid member for almost a year, slow to commit, but I have tried all the software out there and found this one to be the best for my needs. BF is the most complete...

    Total Mash Volume

Where do you see this, if it's there? I have filled in all my recipe, even my mash, and I don't see total mash volume anywhere. I see water needed but not total volume.
