What are you doing with homebrew today?

Checked on the IPA I racked onto Nottingham cake. Ya, I'm pushing the volume in the fermenter. Krausen is pretty well behaved under pressure, and it is at 17C, it should be fine.

Bottled up, 2 cases of Shady Bohemian, used what was left into the fermenter to make up about 3 gallons of Braggot with another 5 quarts of water and 5 pounds of honey,(ish pouring problems). Gave the keezer a once over and put the bottles of Shady Boh in it set at 62 to carb up.

The braggot is set at 59 degrees and the blow off tube is going nuts!

Very exciting day here!
Cleaned all of my beer lines today!
Using Kegland carb caps and tees on 2L soda bottles makes it super quick and easy. Cleaned, flushed, and filled 4 lines with Sanitizer in about 45 minutes including letting them sit for 15 minutes with BLV solution.

mashing in a dunkels weissebier
fun mash 5 steps
mash in 115 with 3 gallons of water
infuse to 125 pull a decoction
rest the decoction at 145 before boiling
while that rests infuse the main mash to 145 at this point should be about 5 gallons of mash water
boil decoction for 15 min then step up the mash with it to 158
mashout with whatever water is left

Im only writing it down hear so I can remember LOL
if it works well Ill document it
Oh and groovin to some classic 70s head music

for you all who are obsessed with mash thicknes
dough in is 1.5 qt/gal
1st conversion rest is 2.5 qt/gal
ends at 3.5 at mash out

pre boil .044
85% would have .043
so right on my
concern now is the FG
shooting for .012-.014

Brewing a fresh hop ale using homegrown Centennials:

I'll be doing one with my cascade in a few days
Not ripened fully yet but close
I'm doing 8zs at FO and 8zs WP also calculating an extra 1/2 gallon of water
How s that sound
Haven't used wet hops before
I generally dry them

I used 9 oz. during the last 5 min. of the boil and during cooling for a 5 gal. batch. I had considered adding extra water to make up for hops absorption, but I decided to see what would happen not doing that. I collected about 1 qt. shy of 5 gal. in my fermenter, so you may be in the ballpark of 1/2 gal. for your amounts.

Thanks
I'll go with the extra water and another lb of grain to keep it honest
