Plaato Keg - revived

As many people know plaato decided to sunset all thier homebrew gear. I have 4 of the plaato keg units that have been really expensive paper weights.

Taplist.io has made an integation into these devices (YA!) $40 a year gets you the same level use as thier basic $400 a year service for restaurants and brewpubs. you just have to be a homebrewer and not selling any products.

So far it works really well. you reset the keg scale and reconfigure it to work on thier server and it just starts streaming info to thier site. just beathed more life into these things

I used to just use a bathroom scale but now they have smart scales that use Bluetooth
you wouldn't need a subscription

Worth mentioning there’s also a free option if anyone doesn’t want a recurring subscription just to keep the scale readable — a public server that handles both the Keg and the Airlock, no cost, no self-hosting required.


Same idea as Taplist’s integration but free:

Setup is just pointing the device to it after a reset, few minutes total.
