Here is my go to Kölsch recipe...pre-3 kids I would brew this up 2-3 times a year...most recently i used the Koln dry yeast and got the most Kölsch flavor I've ever experienced.
Good luck!
I always add gelatin to all my beers, except the American Wheats. It still takes time to clear the beer but it it does make it faster. As everyone has said above time and cold are what does the trick.
I own a Brewzilla 65L, had it for two years now, one full year with 10 brews on it due to twins.
I don't worry about the dead space because it gets recirculated back to the top so I don't add additional water.
First thing I do is mash thin...2-2.5/qts per pound. Once i dough in i let it rest...
Just did some gravity samples on my latest brews, 12 gallon split batch Jovaru and 34/70.
Next batch is going to be a Vienna lager for Thanksgiving, hopefully we'll be able to meet up with family again...12 gallons is ALOT to drink by myself...
No problem! I’m currently using it now for a split batch of Farmhouse Ale and 34/70 lager yeast. Getting ready to check gravity tomorrow and start cold crashing/finning.
You have to move the recipe to the Group where the tanks are…then you can assign them during the “brew day”
This took me about an hour to figure out last night LoL
