    All-In-One Brewhouse Help thread

Just bought an Anvil 10.5. Should be arriving later this month. I'll keep this thread in mind in case I have issues or need advice. As of now I just need to decided what to make with it first :)

What are you doing with homebrew today?

What have I been doing with homebrew: recently? Getting annoyed :( First off, the closest homebrewing supply store closed so I'm stuck ordering EVERYTHING online and shipping rates in Canada are kind of nuts. There are some suppliers that offer free shipping if you spend over a certain amount...

    Maltsters .

Does anyone else try to buy from smaller local/craft maltsters? I try to support Makers Malt from Saskatchewan and Red Shed Malting from Alberta when I can. Sometimes Maker's Malt will say what farmer and field the grain came from. I work in Ag and know a lot of the growers in my area and it's...

    Tea Sour Beer Help

That would be good I think! Or Hibiscus! Years ago I flavored Kombucha (which can be sour) with Hibiscus tea and it was delicious. Actually... I need to legit try this now that I'm thinking about it. The Earl Grey ESB is pretty bitter with a bit of dry astringency, in a good way, but this is...

    Tea Sour Beer Help

If you really do want to add earl grey tea, I recently made a recipe from craft beer and brewing magazine (basically an ESB with early grey cream tea) and this is what the recipe said to do with the tea: "add
1.5 oz Earl Grey Creme tea
(I recommend Adagio Teas’s Earl Grey Moonlight in a fine...

    Tea Sour Beer Help

I'm not sure how early grey would be in a sour. I think sour flavors would go better with sweet, floral, or fruity additions. I made a sour with dried elderflowers and one with ginger and liked both.

    Deciding on Fall beer style

ESB = Extra special bitter, an English Pale Ale. https://www.craftbeer.com/styles/english-style-pale-ale-esb. The recipe I used (from Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine) called for some Earl Grey Cream tea at flame out just for some extra pizazz lol. I decided on an ESB bc I had a bunch of...

    Need a hand getting started

I started maybe a year(ish?) ago. I made a few extract kits (liquid extract w/ hops and steeping grains) before I decided to go all grain (biab). I liked how the kits just told me exactly what to do (lol) and once I was comfortable with that I made the jump to biab. To get started with all...

What do yo pay for a pint

$8CAD for 20oz seems to be the going rate where I am. some places will have smaller glasses at a discount or events or "hoppy" hour when prices can be as low as $5.

What are you doing with homebrew today?

Made a hazy IPA this weekend!: https://beerandbrewing.com/recipe-wren-house-spellbinder-ipa/ The only variation from the recipe is I had to use K-97 instead of S-04 because I guess I mixed up the package colours when I was checking my inventory when deciding what to make (god forbid I read the...

What are you drinking right now?

I wish we remembered to take pictures... but last week we visited Snake Lake Brewing in Sylvan Lake Alberta and Cold Lake Brewing in Cold Lake Alberta. Snake Lake brewing had an award winning Pilsner, but all their beers we're solid. Yes, we tried them ALL haha. We had a selection at Cold...
