what would you use for the target profile in the water calculator profile for an Irish red ale? I used Edinburgh (scothish ale malty) but it doesn't seem to fit the style.

I'm no expert, but have had good results using color options when there's no specific profile available for the style. In this case, I'd use an amber balanced or amber full body profile.
 
I don't see anything that says Amber in my Brewersfriend target water profile.

Amber balanced: Calcium 50ppm, Magnesium 10ppm, Sodium 15ppm Sulfate 75ppm, Chloride 63ppm, Bicarbonate 40ppm
Amber Full Body: 50ppm 5ppm 15ppm 55ppm 65ppm 35ppm
 
I see @Pricelessbrewing did a red beer the other day too maybe he might have some suggestions based on that brew..?
Unfortunately I haven't brewed in awhile, moving, and kitchen renovation.

I would aim for the amber balanced profile though, since it's medium light to medium body.
