Portable heating element

I have one of those hang on the side of the pot electric heating elements I use for my HLT. Currently its working fine but thought I would look at availability if mine STB. Can’t seem to find them anyware with Google/eBay Thoughts?

Great tip, should do the trick and may start on it as a back up. Any thoughts on a rheostat to act as a thermal temp control ?

I use a power watt meter similar to what your suggesting to good effect depends if it can handle the current.

Thinking of just adding a thermowell to my HLT and using my ranco thermocontroller as a shut off. Plan on keeping in the 120v range as i'm not boiling.

Yes, HLT only, may possibly herms down the road but for now HL.
