Looking to see if anyone has some recent profiles for Edmonton AB, perhaps @Hawkbox ?

Trying to sort out my mash pH. Last few brews I have noticed it was coming in lower than expected (after adjusting salts based on Palmer's workbook).

Wondering if perhaps the water is changing much causing this? I doubt it but who knows? just reaching out

Thanks!

Have you checked the EPCOR website? They have daily water reports for most stuff and then a fully detailed one that is usually a month or two behind.

Daily

Monthly (August appears to be most recent)

There are a few profiles showing in the BF site too that are relatively consistent.

That's what I use for my source too, epcor.
Have you ever tested your water ?
I have the same water from Edmonton know where I am except for I store in a cistern so I'm starting to wonder if maybe I'm getting some changes because of that that's not accounted for on the epcor report...

I haven't in Edmonton, I just kind of hope they are right. I get it from the Rossdale plant, so there is a bit of a difference but not a lot. A water test isn't expensive so it might be worth doing.

I agree I should probably do that just haven't before. Know of any places in town that does it?

Uh not off hand, I had it done when I built a house with a well a decade ago in Grande Prairie. Looks like Dynalife or AGAT will do it but I don't know what kind of report they'll generate, might not be useful for brewing.
