Has anyone tried the 3 Floyds Zombie Dust recipes that are floating around? I was intrigued by the Citra single hop usage, especially at the large quantities it calls for, so I brewed up a 5 gal. batch a couple weeks ago.
Well, I'm trying my freshly kegged & carbonated batch today, and I'm really impressed. This is a great example of a malt bill that keeps pace with the hops, making it a really nicely balanced beer, although we won't be calling it a session beer at 6.6 ABV. Very multi-dimensional flavors that make you sit and try to figure them out. And this brews super fast- I used two pkgs. of Safale SO-4, and this batch went from 1064 to 1014 in 3 days! Transferred to secondary on day 5, dry-hopped for 5 more days, and kegged & carbed at 1012. If you need a big beer quickly, this one gets it done.
