Attempt at a Winter Seasonal

been working on my own recipes lately so far had good luck just wanted some input on this one to see if anything looked out of ordinary or changes anyone might make

The recipe looks like an American Amber with spices.

A Winter Seasonal should pack a punch, low IBUs, high ABV, a bit of alcohol sting, spices, if you will... An American Amber Ale, in my opinion and for my taste, will not get you there.

For winter, I prefer either DARK ales ( RIS, Imperial Baltic Porters, etc. ) or Brown/Dark Belgians.

Belgians work well with spices and high alcohol.

Charlie Papazian wrote a holiday recipe found in his book I’ve had for over twenty years. It’s written as an extract, and this is my attempt at a conversion to all grain. It’s amber in color. I look forward to this beer every year. This year I brewed it twice, with plans to give half of it away with my wife’s Christmas cookies (including rum balls) that we pass out to some people.
