Just bottled up my ordinary bitter. Discovered whilst racking into my Bottling Fv a small black(probably fruit fly) fly stuck to the side of my brew Fv!!!!.
Had a taste after testing the FG,tasted fine and another having discovered said intruder:eek:.
Now bottled and named
Surrey Fly Bitter.
Anyone requiring said recipie please ask,but can't say when to add the fly:D:D

Just guessing, but I'd think the fly would go in at packaging....

It didn't get into a bottle as it was quite firmly attached to the side of the FV.
My guess is it died happy:D

Maybe it died of CO2 asphyxiation, kind of the way canaries are used in coal mines! :D

Hey club some may see it as a bad omen for their beer but you take it in your stride and turned it around and see it as a lucky fly who breathed his final breath stuck to the wall in your fermentor:D I love it ha ha.
