If i download a reciept from the database and make some changes or addons and be very satisfied with the beer, is it ok to make it public with my name or should i write the original reciept author name in notes or how do you do to make all happy? Not make it public?

No set rules. I tend to credit the originator, depending on how much has bern changed. Big changes, I might write “adapted from Joe Smith”, tiny changes I might offer full credit.

A good guideline is, if it was your recipe, how would you like to be recognized?

Ok good to know. I do not whant to take credit for someone else recipe but i think it is good to fill the database with many versions to chose from. (us or metric, different brand of malts, size and so on)

There are no prizes at the end, make it yours, and own it!

@Zitooo don't listen to these knuckle heads, and don't copy their recipes. We'll actually @Hawkbox has a wicked West Coast IPA recipe, which I might add has the requisite crystal malt. The other Bums, I don't know...

i do not follow.....
Im just joking around, we all know each other pretty good here, and have some fun.

My original comment is the serious one, copy it, adjust how you like, and call it yours.

We get a bit off-topic every once in a while. This typically happens after the original question is basically resolved. This is one of those times. Many on this forum have been here for years, and we rib or joke with each other on occasion.

This time I’m the guy who took it off the rails…

Ok!
I understand now but sometime my english makes it hard to follow

SHAME!!! That is usually my job!

I openly share all of my recipes. Happily will scale them down if people want that!

Sorry, often the "funny" gets lost in the language.
Further off topic, I have a contact at one of our larger clients who is recently emigrated from China. He has come a long way with English, and he gets my jokes now, stick around and have some fun with us @Zitooo we bark, but we don't bite.

No language is easy to understand for humor and hidden meanings, but English is one of the most difficult.
