I have some water profiles that I have built and saved and of course input my water volumes and will add them to my recipes as needed
my question is if I am in the recipe builder and want to change my water additions and maybe changed the water volume can that be done in the recipe or do I need to make a new water profile
not sure Im making sense

I adjust my volumes in the recipe. Depending on time of year and how much cold top off I need or if I’m decocting etc.

I was doing that a few times but was concerned about what volume of water was being calculated. from the mash fields?
please explain
in the calculator it specifically asks about volume

You can adjust it in the recipe builder. For a quick way, I just change up my boil volume and then adjust from there.

that is what I was playing with when I noticed the problem
I don't have a problem as long as I stay in my volume profile parameters the problem is I was trying to build a 3 gallon recipe which is not my setup profile
I bring over a saved profile it doesn't adjust my salt additions to my new volume
of course if I copy a recipe with the copy tool and then scale it down it changes the salt additions accordingly
