I have a co-worker who was once the head brewer at a small Brewery in Guelph, he was then in sales for BSG Canada selling ingredients to Breweries.
He is in sales for us now, and we talk about beer and brewing from time to time.
This morning he brought me this, as well as a burlap grain sack.
Not sure what to do with the sack, but this is going up in my mancave!

Gotcha. Their prices look pretty good. They had a big sale on 2-Row a few weeks ago. Started to order some supplies, but still not ready to get back into the brewing yet. Don't want to buy supplies and let them go stale.

Bloody chicken compound keeps me busy. Run space needs for one flock has me building more. What started out as a desire to have 6 chickens in a 6 x 8 coop with a 10 x 8 run has now turned into a compound that's 24 x 50 with two coops, the original 6 x 8 and the newer one that's 8 x 24, and 35 birds. Most of them are pretty calm and docile, but there's a few in each flock that are paranoid drama queens. One of them thinks she's a dog and has to be picked up every time I go in the pen. I assure you, more than 6 was NOT my idea. Keeps me outta trouble though.

Suggestion: let the hens live in the house, you folks move into the pens. More room there!

Got way too much invested in the house, too. We just had another new roof put on this year with much higher quality material and workmanship. Completely remodeled the outside, removed an unused fireplace and remodeled the den, remodeled the hallway, dining room, and kitchen. Still have two bathrooms to go and some flooring but nearly done with the remodeling stuff. Probably put twice what I paid for the place in it by the time we're done.

At least chicken compound construction is cheaper than house remodeling. I use a lotta repurposed materials, particularly old pressure treated lumber. Most of the bedding is whatever I can put through my 6" chipper or 3" shredder, so that part's pretty cheap. And I get breakfast and fertilizer in return for taking care of the girls. We don't get nearly what we put in, but happy wife, happy life. It keeps me busy and outta trouble.

Hm. Just gotta teach them to cook breakfast and you’re golden!

As for remodeling cost: stuff’s more expensive these days. I bought my previous house for 238k, it is now ‘worth’ over a million. (And taxed like that, too). Makes sense to drop 120k on remodeling.
