2025 Happy hour zoom

Sorry I missed you guys last night... I missed my calendar reminder as I was watching King Kong on replay and my phone was charging in other room!!!!
Anyway a Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you all. See you in 2026... king kong will have finished by then... I hope.
Ps. Buy as much silver as you can. It will soon be unobtanium - the new word for 2026.

Also sorry I missed it! Did y'all pull a new name?

I had plans at 1. I'm sorry that I couldn't stick around.
I won't ever make fun of virtual friends if what I have planned personally works out for the New Year. Long story, but keep your fingers crossed for me.

I appreciate it. The gist is, after all the shit, I finally broke down on Christmas a purchased a rather pricey dating app as a present for myself. I had a few conversations over a couple of days, and I felt comfortable with someone, so we exchanged numbers. I have probably been on the phone with her for two or three hours over the weekend. We are supposed to meet in person on New Year's day to start the year.
I know there are a lot of crazies out there, so I keep even-keeled. On the surface, this one seems very, very awesome and drum roll please....actually stable.

I'm hopeful for you!
I met my husband, 26 years ago, on the yahoo match site. I did meet a couple of not-so-much guys before that- but they were all actually pretty nice guys just not a great fit for me. Even the ones that didn't mesh well with my life were well worth meeting though, and some actually remained friends for quite a while even while we were actually starting to date other people. It's a whole new world.

And my son (who is active duty Navy and nearly 34 years old) just met someone last year on Tinder of all things- and they are expecting his first child. She's a wonderful woman, and I adore her. She's strong, independent and intelligent and a homeowner and RN. In other words, she's got her act together and they love each other deeply.

So once you wade through all the 'not so much' ones, you may find a gem! Either way, you'll find out what you want and what you need. More importantly, you'll have a better idea of what you don't want or need!

You know that now you have to keep us updated, right?????

Meeting folks and potential soul mates on the internet isn't nearly as uncommon as it used to be. My first meeting with my wonderful wife of 20 years did not go smoothly. I had a delayed flight from LA to Sydney, which made me miss my connection to Adelaide. I had a few airlines eating out of my hand about 20 minutes after I landed in Sydney and they contacted the Adelaide airport to let her know I was on the way. Delayed, yes, but on the way.

We had a long-distance relationship for nearly 8 years before she finally decided to immigrate to the US. The 6th was 20 years since she arrived in the US with her three kids, and the 3rd of February will be our 20th anniversary. I think I'll keep her. Takes a pretty special woman to put up with me.

Surely she is a saint.:)

Not sure if there the monthly zoom this month but as I am sitting at my local brewery I realized I completely forgot. Oh well next month

Let me see what is going on. I have been dating a girl, and I think she has to work next Saturday. I do too, so we shall see.

By the looks of things, I'll be sitting inside if I'm on the Zoom meeting or in several layers of clothes outside- yikes!
