I was out of town for 4 days & when I returned my casecade hops were attacked by this brown wilt. My suspicion is blight, any feedback?

Could it be weather related? It's been an unusually hot summer in much of the US and into Canada. Could they have just shot past their picking time?

squash bugs will do that very thing, they kill a plant in a couple of days

Right you are. We had to quit growing squash, melons and cucumbers because of them. They don't limit their diet to squash and will destroy a large plant in just a few days. Also, they're very hard to get rid of. It almost seems like they eat most insecticides for lunch.

They dig into your soil and hibernate, lay eggs on the plant like crazy, it's like lice you have to know what your doing to remove the pests

Wow!

On the cell phone I just saw brown hop cones. Now that I look at the pictures I bigger screen I see that the leaves are all chewed up too. No way temperature is going to do that.
