Pump

Haven't heard of that one, no results on google for the DIY Pump Company...

I saw an article in one of the brewing magazines a while back on how to build your own systolic pump. Can't remember which one or when, though. Try searching BYO, Zymurgy and Craft Beer and Brewing.

The article is "Build a Peristaltic Pump" and is in the May-June 2017 edition of BYO Magazine. It's a very good step-by-step guide with pictures. This project is on my ToDo list.

The only limitation I see to a peristaltic pump is the way the liquid pulses on the output side. It looks like whatever you pumped would be sloshed around and oxygenated. So it would be good for transferring wort but not once fermentation has started.

They're called roller pumps also and there are lots of diy videos on YouTube

Wonder how long that hose would last a bit of friction going on there. I Commend your creativity benbe ;).

Parastaltic pumpes are very common in the medical field, very easy to control delivery of specific volumes, and medium only ever comes in contact with the tubing. The tubing can be replaced quickly.
