My shed makes a great man cave and brewery. I currently have a 3 tier gravity system that can handle 11 gallon batches, but normally I do 5.5 gallons. It is all electric, such a pleasure to brew on! Wifi just reaches out there. Tried doing BIAB and it went great.
Plans:
* Focus in on lagers again in 2013.
Mainly focused on beers like Munich Helles, American Lagers (brewed with Ale yeast), Kolsch, and Pale Ales. These are drinkable, not high in alcohol content, and the defects really shine through in these beers which has taught me a lot about good brewing. Made a kick butt Barley Wine in 2008 that we are still working through.
Brewed a really good Oktoberfest last year, and now playing around with Mocktoberfest beers using similar grains, but Ale yeast.
Currently working on an IPA along the lines of Total Domination or Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB) IPA. Going to try my first oaked IIPA.
