Session Amber/Brown ale--Another complex recipe help me simplify it.

I don't think either of them hurt, as I said, I think even if you don't get rid of them you'll have good beer... you just asked how to simplify (which I took as what should I delete). If there was something I'd get rid of, the Dextrin and flaked oats where what I would choose is all.
That's where I am coming from as well. Dextrin and flaked oats at that percentage definitely won't hurt anything but they're not helping much either.

I never updated this thread. I actually brewed a recipe based off of this recipe and it is so good. It has sold incredibly well and has firmly moved into the second best seller slot at the brewery. I brewed a second batch of it on Tuesday of this week and will keg it off next week.

This is the original recipe(that is on its last keg of 4)

This is the updated and simplified recipe that I brewed this week(mainly just changed the hops for things that I keep stock of and reduced the overall hop cost).

The Spec X malt gives such a complex flavor to the otherwise fairly light beer, its truly awesome.
