MAPLE SAP Brown

OH - and here is what I boiled down this afternoon for pancakes in the morning.... 2 quarts boiled down to 2 oz in roughly 2 hours! lol

- I only have 2 trees tapped. My first year trying to make maple syrup (I honestly don't even use syrup on anything.... just butter.) - kids should love it though!

1.011 final gravity! 6.56 abv before added syrup... Assuming it is roughly 7.5 based on 18 oz of maple syrup.

Nice congrats, was it the taste you were going for?
Yes it was, albeit a bit stronger than expected both taste-wise and alcohol-wise.

The finish reminds me of dark maple syrup almost molasses even. There is also a touch of booze like you might get from a good belgian or Sam Double Bock. Restrained but present.

Very smooth, woodsy beer!
