Kegged this last night and it is carbed now. Early impressions are notes of bitter melon, tart strawberry, lemon/grapefruit, and white pepper. Aroma is a little underwhelming but I’m excited to see how this one develops in the next couple of weeks.
 
never used calista, so i dont know what that tastes like, but I love Amarillo. I like the generous use of gypsum to bring out the bitter.

if I had any nit to pick, it would be fermentation temps. not really a lager at that temp. I am sure it is still tasty :D

That is inaccurate. It was at 50F for 5 days then ramped up over the next 6 days. It’s a lager. Somehow the recipe link isn’t up to date….
