Initial Acid Passivation

  1. After cleaning vessel, make a solution of 5 oz. of Acid #5 to 1 gallon of water.
  2. Circulate for 15-20 minutes at a temperature of 120°F.
  3. Drain vessel and ALLOW TO AIR DRY.
  4. Vessel must air dry in order to achieve successful passivation.
  5. After letting equipment air dry, rinse before sanitizing.
  6. Sanitize before use.

    Repassivation
  7. After cleaning vessel, make a solution of 1 oz. of Acid #5 to 1 gallon of water.
  8. Circulate for 30 minutes at a temperature of 120°F.
  9. Drain vessel and ALLOW TO AIR DRY.
  10. Vessel must air dry in order to achieve successful passivation.
  11. After letting equipment air dry, rinse before sanitizing.
  12. Sanitize before use
