Took my first stab at a NEIPA recently and it tasted great but had a muddy off-putting appearance. I still bottle my beer and if I did a slow pour it would be a nice golden orange hue and slightly hazy but not as hazy as I'd like. If it did a swish and pour it would be as hazy as I'd like but then a muddy color and slightly chunky. This is the settled hop and protein solids I assume. While it was a big hit at the party I brewed it for, as a perfectionist, I would have liked to see the nice opaque, bright "orange juice" look in the glass like the pros make. Is there anything I did wrong or is it just the limitations of basic homebrewing equipment?
For reference, here is my recipe (3 gallon batch):
5# Pale 2 Row
1# Flaked Oats
1# White Wheat malt
.5# Carapils
1 oz each Citra and Mosaic for 20 min whirlpool
1 oz each Citra, Waimea and El Dorado at high krausen
US-04 yeast
Thanks in advance for any and all input.
