Late fermentable addition not reflected in original gravity.

Im sorry I meant adding the cane sugar would dry out the beer reflected in a lower gravity not the malt and wasn't sure about the fruit juice

Well, only if the sugar is replacing the malt, not addition to. If you just add the sugar, you will get a higher OG but not a lower FG. If you take out some grain, replace it with sugar, then yes, you’ll get a slightly lower FG than you would with all malt. But adding more gravity points will not lower the FG.

I don't remember exactly how I did my experiment using brewers friend I put one of my recipes in edit mode and added cane sugar and yes it added to the OG and lowed the FG.
I'm not saying this is correct but seems to be what the BF recipe builder does
of course there are other variables involved in getting to that FG # and I don't sweat it as much as the OG as I find that a pretty accurate calculator
