Itc 308 temp controller compressor delay?

Got my temp co troller set to keep my beer cold, dont quite understand the compressor delay and what it should be set at? Any ideas?

Its a delay that typically you should set at 5 minutes. This keeps the compressor from cycling constantly off and on when hovering at a target temperature.

I have mine set at 10 minutes and that has worked well for me for the past two years.
