Hi,
It is the first time I use Brewers's friend software and I have trouble understanding why when looking at the water requirements for a brew as shown on the picture below there are several values for Preboil volume and Sparge water
It seems to me that the actual values are those that are between parenthesis (equipment estimates ...) but what about the values given on the very right of the table ?

Thanks for the ping @BarbarianBrewer

@Meaulnes

The numbers on the right correspond to what the system calculates based on the recipe ingredients, and YOUR entered recipe pre/post boil volumes. The numbers listed for each "equipment estimates" is to serve as an alert to the user along the lines of a "Hmm, things don't seem to line up". In this case, your preboil volume for the recipe doesn't seem to lineup for your equipments boil off rate (which is 2.6L in your equipment profile), but you've set the preboil volume to be 28.5L when it should be 24.5L.

Thank you for your answer. At first I didn't understand it. You says "you've set the preboil volume to ...". No! I did not set it.
Thus after looking at your answer i had a look at the recipe and saw that there is a button close to the preboil volume to calculate it. I never noticed it before. I was thinking that this calculation was automatically made as I was used to in other software. But it was not, thus I used that button.
Things are back to normal now. And the true value is the one that was between parenthesis.

We have a pending update to change this calc button to an "auto" toggle like you're used to, should be coming soon!
