Hi all,

I'm going use some hop oils for the first time on an upcoming brew day - possible a whirlpool / stand addition and replacement for dry-hopping too.

I didn't see any oils in the Hop dropdowns so how can this be best represented in the Recipe Editor for a snapshot?

You can choose "extract" in the hops selection dropdown. (It's for hop extract).
Thanks Yooper.

It was staring me in the face all the time!

In your experience, how much - if any - IBU to oils contribute if used in Whirlpool?

The calculator should give you an idea

Is this like lupomax hops my understanding is less vegetal mater providing more flavour. I've heard anecdotally (not personally used them) that you can get away with using less for the same flavour / bittering contribution.

How much or what percentage I'm sorry I don't know

I have used them, they are kinda expensive. for my $0.02, just whirlpooling works as good.

Hi Trialben - no, not Lupomax. We are talking Hop Oil extracts which can be used in the Whirlpool or as replacement for pellets in the Dry Hop. I'm over in the UK and these are the two I'm planning on using - I assume these or equivalents are available in the States.
