I'm interested in this device but I use a lot of glass fermenters, i.e. typical 5-gallon carboy. It doesn't look like this device would fit through the neck of a carboy. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

I measured a diameter of 1.451" or 36.86mm for the one currently sitting on my desk.
