Yeah I've used toasted coconut in a porter previously.
One thing i found is ya gotta use alot of it to get any flavour in the packaged product.

Coconuts grow on trees. Especially in Florida.
It doesn't take as much as a porter when used in a cider or wheat beer.

.I ended up with 7.6 ozs of raw coconut. 24 hours after adding the coconut fermentation started up again.
